1. Who we are

Dialed is a workout logging and accountability application. Depending on how you use the Service, we may process certain information to provide accounts, cloud storage for your logs, partner pacts, squad (group) features, and core app functionality. This policy applies to personal information processed in connection with the Service.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

3. How we use information

We use the information to:

4. Where data is stored

The Service uses cloud infrastructure (for example, database and authentication providers) to store account and workout data you sync. Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our subprocessors operate. We take reasonable steps designed to protect information in transit and at rest.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with vendors that help us run the Service (such as hosting, authentication, subscription management through RevenueCat, analytics, or crash reporting), only as needed for them to provide services to us and subject to appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or in connection with a merger or acquisition.

6. Photos, media, and shared activity

Dialed may request access to your camera or photo library so you can attach workout photos. We process photos you choose to upload in order to store and display them in your account.

Depending on how you use the Service, workout photos, captions, and related activity may be visible to:

You can leave a squad or remove a partner from the app to stop sharing new activity with those people. Your partner pact and squad membership are separate — leaving one does not automatically end the other. If you see inappropriate content from a partner or squad member, use Report Content in Profile → Settings or contact us as described on our Support page.

If you enable gym verification and post a workout while at your saved gym, your partner or squad may see a label confirming the workout was verified at that gym. This label is part of the workout log you choose to share; it does not share your live location, saved coordinates, or background location events.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Dialed offers optional paid subscriptions (for example, Dialed Pro) that unlock certain features such as creating a squad. Partner mode and joining an existing squad with an invite code remain free.

Purchases and free trials are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), as applicable. RevenueCat helps us validate subscription status and deliver Pro features in the app. We receive information about your subscription state (such as active, expired, or in trial) but not your full payment credentials.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in your device’s app store account settings. Deleting the Dialed app does not cancel an active subscription.

8. Notifications

If you opt in to push or local notifications, we use your device’s push token, notification settings, and related metadata to deliver messages. You can turn off notifications in your device settings or inside the app where available.

Optional gym location reminders are a separate category you enable in the app. When enabled, the app may schedule a local reminder on your device after you have been at your saved gym for about 15 minutes and have not logged a workout that day. See Section 9 for how location is used for this feature.

9. Location and gym reminders

Gym location reminders and gym verification are optional. We do not use location for these features unless you set a gym in Profile → Settings → Add Gym Location and grant the relevant device permissions.

What we collect and store

When you save a gym, the gym name, coarse address label, coordinates, and geofence radius are stored locally on your device. They are not stored on your account for cross-device sync. Your partner and squad members do not see your saved gym coordinates or receive alerts based on where you are.

How location is used on your device

Geofence enter/exit events are processed on your device. We do not sell location data or use it for advertising. Search and geocoding features may use platform location services when you interact with the gym picker.

Platform availability

Background gym monitoring for arrival reminders is currently available on iOS. You can still save a gym on other platforms where the feature is offered, but background arrival reminders may not be available there yet.

Your choices

You can stop location-based gym reminders at any time by:

Deleting the app or clearing local app data removes the saved gym from your device. Deleting your account removes shared workout logs and any gym verification labels attached to those logs, subject to the retention notes in Section 10.

10. Retention

We retain account and workout information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, legal, or security purposes unless a longer period is required by law. Saved gym coordinates for reminders are stored locally on your device, not in your account. Gym verification labels attached to shared workout logs are retained with those logs until the log or account is deleted, subject to routine backup cycles. You may request deletion of your account as described below.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email on our Support page. We may verify your request before responding. You can also disable optional gym location reminders or remove saved gym data directly in the app, as described in Section 9.

12. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.

13. Security

We use industry-standard measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
